This past weekend I was invited to attend a wedding in Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico. Morelia is a beautiful city about four hours from Mexico City. The family of the groom has a house in Morelia and then also a ranch outside the city. The wedding took place on the ranch and it was breath-taking. The wedding ceremony was at three in the afternoon and took place outside. Following the ceremony we ate Barbacoa (nothing like our BBQ, even though the word looks similar) and there was a live Nortena Band. The rest of the afternoon/evening was filled with dancing, cake, and a bonfire. Once it was dark, I think I was able to see more stars than I have ever seen before!!! All in all, I did get about 47 mosquito bites, but they were totally worth it!
