Part of the RUF Internship is for me to do a program study. In the program study I learn about/study aspects of ministry, beliefs of the Presbyterian Church, and an area of personal interest. I read books related to these topics and then when I weekly meet with Peter for our one-on-one (aka: discipliship) we discuss what I'm learning, my questions, and applications to my life and the ministry here in Mexico.
So far, I have read "When People are Big and God is Small" that discusses our fear of man and lack of fear of God; and I'm currently reading "Putting Amazing Back into Grace" and the "Westminister Confession of Faith". With each section that I read in each of the books I write a summary in my own words, personal questions I have to discuss with Peter, and then general questions that students at the UNAM might have. I'm am definitely thankful that Peter continues to pour into me and care for me spiritually throughtout this experience.
